This is a tutorial for doing seismic moment tensors written by Douglas S. Dreger, University of California, Berkeley.

The tutorial uses the Time-Domain Moment Tensor inverse codes, 2 software freely distributed for non-commercial use and available to download as a compressed file (see pdf for further details).

The pdf file attached below first indicates how to build the software packages, demonstrates usage through several examples, and provides references to studies illustrating how suitable velocity models may be determined.
